According to the website it is not available for retail sales yet...
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

heh, I wonder how long it lasts and it's durability. I could see so many applications it boggles the mind. Cars, clothes, roofs... What about the bottom of watercraft or stuff like snowboards & skis??

Supposedly they put it on something and left it in the ocean for a year. And it came out dry and un-wet! It's not for sale yet, but as soon as it is, I'm all over it. I sent them an email request to be a beta tester, I hope they take it seriously, because I would put it on EVERYTHING! This will revolutionize rain gear! I could see it on the bottom of boats too, and on windshields! Better than rainX. Waders wetting out? No more! Coat your guides with it? No more frozen guides in the snow! Put it on your fly line for freeze free casts, slick shooting for maximum distance. This is probbly the most exciting development in fishing since monofiliment! I can't wait to be able to buy it!Gringo Pescador wrote:heh, I wonder how long it lasts and it's durability. I could see so many applications it boggles the mind. Cars, clothes, roofs... Me three!!!! I had some stuff like that from a Chem company that I did biz with years ago. It was NSF and FDA approved for food contact surfaces. We used it on freezer plates so the salmon wouldn't stick, worked like a charm! On other stuff too! it was great on tents and shoes, just don't get it on the treads.

Is that stuff in which you speak of, still available? Does it make stuff water proof or simply slickery?Bodofish wrote:Me three!!!! Where! How can I get it, because I've tried all the stuff and my coats and waders just keep wetting out like crazy.Bodofish wrote:Me three!!!! I wish it was, test marketed here and in AK. I tried to get more a year later when buying drums of cleaning supplies from them and they had not gone forward with it.
the reasoning was no one was going forward with plate freezers, "the future is all IQF".......... Gotta say they were mostly right.
