Post by Mike Carey » Mon Nov 02, 2009 9:12 am

I'm going to try to get all the wish list ideas one one master thread, here. You can continue to post them as separate threads, this is just an admin list to help us keep track. Please let me know if I've missed your request and I'll add it to this list. thanks! Here goes:

Fish Glossary
Filtering fish species in report lists
add picture icons in report lists
better member search functions
friends list
links in replies
add more selections to drop down lists in report forms

maybe a separate listing of "Lake Reports" & "River Reports." For the past couple of months this site could have been called "Washingtonrivers.com

It's there. go to "Reports", then "Read Reports", then select Lakes, or rivers, or whatever. It has been pretty cool to see guys posting so many river reports. I hope it keeps up!

Any way we can "block" a member from commenting on a report? Or is that function already in place?

Thanks.

You can't block, but you can delete the post. You get an e-mail notice when someone makes a comment on your report, and you can just delete the comment (upper right corner of the post I believe). Of course, if it's vulgar or offensive and violates the terms of use on this site please let me know so we can make the posting person aware of the rules around here.

Actually what I meant was separate the lake reports and river reports in the "latest reports" section. That's where I check first every morning. o:)

ah, OK. well this will make you happy then - you can click on the top of each column and it will automatically sort the reports in various ways. So for example, if you click on the column that has the flags (which indicate lake, river, or saltwater report) presto chango, they are nicely sorted. For some reason though, it is only switching between lake and saltwater (sorry river guys!) I don't think it will stay the way you sort, when you leave the page it reverts back. But it does give you the view you want.
