I don't know the details to it, as far as cost, or if you have to be a member of the group, etc. I can say that they have over $1000.00 in cash/prizes, and that if you do have to join, I think the membership was $20.00 (K. killa, this may be your day to shine :-)

Is it for the largest fish caught in pounds? If so, I'd lose by a long shot. If it were quantity I would have a good chance at a prize. Most my fish are 1-3 pounds, some go as large as 4, but that's about it...and the fact that it is in June (June 14th)...means that you'll need downriggers to pull this one off, that I do not have :(...you never know though, Matthews Beach Park might hold a brute or two come June 14th 2008.

I don't know anything about how the rules are setup, pounds, quantitiy etc. But you could go through their website, just google on puget sound angles club or something there abouts. And yes, they do meet on Mercer Is. in the community center, it's all on their website.

Should I really do it FISHNISLIFE? The largest I've boated has been 7 pounds...and recently around 3...not sure if that would win...but hey why not, right?

Of course I think you should. It would be fun. You got plenty of time to think about it and do a lot more work on the water. Would be nice to know all the details for sure. Cost, prizes, time, etc.???

Who can make it? Let's start listing members here and if you have a boat and can use it and it trolls 0.50 - 2.0 MPH say that you have a boat and you can take some people out...I'm probably not going to be able to take my boat out that weekend (it's too small) so if anyone has a nice boat step up, please reply, even if you don't have a boat and still want to be in the tourney!

I am definetly in for doing this tournament. This would be my first fishing tournament of any type so I don't claim to know the structure of how it all works, but I guess you've got to start somewhere.
If anyone is seriously interested in joining in, please PM me and say so. I completly agree with Kutt or Fishinislife, or whoever it was that said it would great to see a good 3 or 4 boats from the washingtonlakes.com group out there in force. I think we've got a strong group of anglers who could really give people a run for the money.
