WDFW Actual results from the fish survey
RE:WDFW Actual results from the fish survey
The average cutty in this study was 21.5" long. That's about 3-5 pounds depending on the genes of that particular cutthroat. Staggering...and we're talking in 15' of water or less...just shows how stalky and predatory these fish can become if need be...they're not afraid to get up and shallow to feast on baitfish.

It kind of sounds like they might have got the 2 mixed up, but it is the UW so you would think they would what they are talking about. But even if they did get the 2 mixed up that is still a very large average size for a bluegill, but yeah, a pumpkin seed that size is unheard of.

HAL! What a whopper! I have trouble, in my mind, stretching Hals fish another 5 inches to get a theoretical 16 incher! I'm even floored at the thought of a 13 incher- nice pumpkinseed. Your picture is worth a thousand words - none-the-less, it is must be on the rare side (?)
