The Puget Sound Anglers of Lake Washington held their first public Lake Washington Trout Derby on June 14th. The weather and fish cooperated, and the Derby was quite successful.
All fish entered had to be Cutthroats or Rainbows. Forty-eight anglers participated and weighed in 16 fish between 2 lbs. and 5.1 lbs. A number of smaller fish were also caught.
The first place prize of $400 went to Doug Wiviott of Newcastle with a lunker Cutthroat that weighed in at 5 lbs. 1 oz. Richard McIntosh Jr. of Mercer Island earned the second place prize of $200 with a 3 lbs. 12 oz. Cutthroat, and third place of $100 went to Brandon Siegrist of Bellevue with a 3 lbs. 10 oz. Cutthroat.

Did anyone from this site fish the derby? I am thinking not, because I didn't see any reports. Kutt.. you should have been out there. At 3lbs,, you could have been in da money.
