I sent a nice bass set-up to the bottom of Curlew this summer while diggin' through my pontoon saddlebags.
I'd like to avoid doing that again.

It seems to be a NW product which is a good thing (Cheney, WA)
I'm wondering how it will work on non-fly gear, it looks like it should work well on split grip poles?

I ordered one, can't go wrong I guess for under $10.

Seems like a good idea in an open vessel like a pontoon or tube.

I imagine that any cord or rope would work. I remember years ago trolling for silvers Id put a cord on my Penn/Eagle Claw set up if I wasnt using a pole holder.

It's a pretty simple idea, I could probably get the same assurance for a piece of paracord tied to the pole.
This looks to be a bit more convenient (with the velcro & whatnot) and I probably would have spent more making one myself.

Going stir crazy waiting for spring fishing I guess.

LOL Home projects always cost more. For me its not saving money for me its knowing I can make one on my own. Like making jigs or spinners. Its a labor of love not trying to save a dime on something.
