I was looking at those online....heck of a price reduction. Must not have been very popular.
I wish I'd been able to get one of last year's Abu STX models in left hand. They seem to only have right hand on sale right now.
I think they are either moving their product lines to align with the new Supercaster 1000 series that has the reverse rotation spools, or they gave Cabela's a deal to get the word out. On the product page the Hibdon 800SX is listed as a new model, along with the Supercaster 1000/1000 Pro and the Liberty model. I also picked up a Tour Star frog rod to go with it for $70 (retail was $180)

Baitcasting- pawned off my Shimano's and went to the Abu Revo
Spinning-I have a few different ones but prefer and will start buying only the Pflueger President.
With that being said, I hate spinning reels but have to have them, of course:(

Penn 9 for salmon. Ambassador 6000c for high water and the 5000c for low water. Those are my 3 fav baitcasters. the Cardinal 4 four spinning reel.
