plano tackle box's

i was searching bass pro shops and found a couple really slick looking tacklebox's with these really sweet spinner bait holders and a lost of storage and stuff and the price is not to bad check them out and tell me what you think and which i should get i am stcuk between two so can yall help?:cheers:

Those tackle boxes are pretty nice, but I have found that its a lot easier to have 2 smaller tackle than a huge bulky tackle box. At least while you are in a smaller boat, or bank fishing. I still have mine and it works great on my table in my fishing room because it can hold a whole bunch of stuff in there. Either way Plano is the way to go.

yea i like the the first one has a handle on it so you can carry it around, and i dont know why but i do like to have everything i have with me when i fish cuzz i never know if i want to change my target species in the middle of a fishing trip

I like the first one, too. Although the second one has the utility box space. I like to have the utility boxes because if I am bank fishing and I want to use just my Trout Magnets I just grab the TM box and it will clip to my belt and I can concentrate more on not falling in the water LOL. I have a utility box for Drop Shots and one for Trout Magnets and I am wanting to fill one with spinners and spoons.

hey i wanted to tell you, i was at wal-mart and saw they were selling a trout magnet kit that includes like a hundred body's in every color and then a whole bunch of jig heads, it was 15 dollors i think but it looked like a great deal.

One big tackle box is just a pain after a while. I have 8 tackleboxes, most of them medium sized boxes, and with an evergrowing tackle assortment, I've gone through plenty of tackleboxes and have had to buy a few new ones every year.

If you look carefully, the second one has a handle on it too. But I agree with every1 else, I used to use a huge Plano tackle box untill I switched to smaller boxes. Now I have like 3 smaller boxes, and My steelhead vest that I keep my Blue Foxes and Spoons in. Plus if something may go wrong and you drop your tackle box in the water, You aren't losing Hundreds of $$$$. I would put some more thought into it before you just run out and buy one.

I have a big one that I use for storing extra supplies. It is a Flambeau but looks like the Plano® 9606 Tackle Box that is on the side of the basspro site from Fisherman_max. Then I have an old Plano from my grandfather who has been gone for over 10 years and he was in his 80's when he died. It may be up 30 years old. I have never seen a box like it and I really like it so I take it in the boat since it is smaller. If I could find another like it I would use it for Salmon fishing in the rivers.

Get the 758:

1. It has better latches
2. I like drawers better than removable units because I will find myself at the lake and my favorite lure in the removed box sitting on my workbench in the garage.

However, if you fill it up, like all bass anglers will, it will weigh as much as a deep cycle battery.

yea i agree cavdad i think the whole removable bin thing would have me losing and forgetting a lot of tackle so yea i am pretty sure i am gunna get the 758

I just upgraded/upsized from a Plano Guide Series 1234 to a Plano 777. They are both large boxes, but the 777 has neat double drawers that make awesome small boxes for when I go out in the canoe and have limited space. I LOVE having all my gear with me while I'm fishing. I only seperate into three catagories, my freshwater,my salt and river stuff, so two large boxes works well for me. For my river stuff, I have a the smaller version of the 777 drawer, nice portable, and plenty of room for my river stuff.

I know the 777 looks smaller, it is shorter, but wider and longer and the drawers are actually two in one setups, real cool. Plus, much more room for my bass spinnerbaits.
