Post by goonatic » Mon Sep 24, 2012 12:08 pm

we all know that mono soaks up water after a while right? but does it affect its strength? just noticed it on my maxima and big game mono i took a few days ago, any way to clear it up again? or does it not matter much?

I think it has to do with stretching from snags and possible water... I never had a issue I keep my leaders on as long as possible unless really frayed...

all my mono gets like that not so much the leader but my main line it should be okay.

as for clearing it up I have heard of any nor made any attempts to try anything... Frayed is what I more concerned about then cloudy line.
