RE:Battery Advice?

what type of boat do you have, how many people and gear do you carry, and what types of water do you fish?

ive gone through my fair share of batteries, and started out with the costco batteries. if you didnt noticed, they are lower in price due to the group size, i would probably bet most of the people have a group 24 or 27.

if your only method of power is tm, i would suggest a group 31 or 34.

in most cases when starting out, the marine battery available @ walmart probably is your best bet, especially when travelling. i have a few of those, and they work great. its good to know i can replace them almost anywhere, it is not that hard to find a walmart anywhere in the lower 48.

the only thing i dont like about lead acid batteries is the maintenance, which is the main reason why im moving to gel type.

:king:

good luck
