Anybody out there ever put new rivets on an old jon boat, if you have please let me know how. Thanks Jim

It takes the correct size rivet, an anvil, a punch and a hammer. Anvil holds the rivet in place and hit it with a the punch and hammer. pretty simple.

The best and quickest way is get what sice rivet you need and make sure the length is correct as well. Your best bet is to get O rivets, that is the hardness of the rivet, and like Bodo said either use a hammer and anvil or if you are local I do this in the Air Force on aircraft everyday and I could bring a rivet gun and a bucking bar and be done alot faster, just let me know.

Right on guys thanks for the info, Felts Jf i live pretty close to McChord, Edgewood is north of Puyallup, also am an old Air Force vet, served during the cold war 81-85, give me a shout and i would appreciate some help with my old jon. thanks Jim
