Brook Trout

I grew up in Montana fishing the mountains for brook trout and I was wondering if there is any place around here to get some decent pan sized brookies.

I have this fishing in Washington book, one of the features is at the back of the book their is a species by location section, and there is a quite a few lakes/pond/river listed w/ brookies, I was really surprised at how many there were. If you can give me a general location I could tell you what lakes have brookies in that area. But compared to rainbow trout in WA, no other trout plants are even comparable and brook trout is one of the least commonly planted. But the only lakes/ponds/rivers with decent populations of brookies are hike lakes, or thats how it sounds. I really want to catch a brookie but have failed. Another option is check the stocking reports, you will get all the lakes with brookies and an idea of how they stock them. Its either the lake will get 5,000 bows and 400 brookies or the lake will get 5,000 brookie fingerlings

Upper Cle Elum River is loaded with them. Also the upper Entiat River has a decent amount.
