Started off around 3:00 pm, water temp was 54. Spent most of the time fishing across from the launch within 20 ft of the lillies. Fish were active anywhere from 12 to 26 ft down. All five fish caught ended up being brookies which was a pleasant surprise since usually it's mostly rainbows with a few brookies thrown in. Most were fairly small but still fought like champs! Biggest ended up being around 16 in.

The fish were on it pretty hard right when I got there then they backed off and picked up again right as I was heading out around 6:30. Best method seemed to be a simple hook, a night crawler, and no weight on a fluorocarbon leader and letting it drift slowly do the bottom. The wind made it hard to keep the line tight without the weight so I missed the hookset on a few, oh well. All fish were release to be caught another day!

I've tried this lake from shore at least a couple times this year and not a single bit any time and nobody else fishing from shore has had a bite. And didnt see any out in on the water catching anything. i see some topping from time to time. I have seen some very small perch and sunfish being caught at the dock. Im thinking the amount of pressure it gets tires it out early in the season and then comes the non-fishing people making a lot of noise on the lake during the summer. It was crazy yesterday.
