I was curious if anyone has headed out for Albies yet and if they had any success. I'm trying to justify spending $500.00 on a two day trip from Westport. Any suggesttions would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks.

They're out there. Buddies on another local fishing forum have hooked em and we've been on the grounds fishing deep hali with them around this year. It's worth it; I'd go!!

My trip got cancelled due to weather on the 20th. I thought about rebooking but it is getting late in the year and the storms coming out of the Gulf of Alaska are pushing the warm water further offshore. I'll try again next year.

This is the latest sea surface temp map. The darker brown areas are where the tuna are found. Some years it is as close as 20 miles out. Not this year.
