Okuma Ceililos, not sure about the spelling, but they're 40 bucks. Great rods for the price.

Best bang for your buck. They are actually pretty darn good, not budget at all. Most rods in that price are pretty cheesy.

I don't know much about cheap rods, but when I first started I fished with a daiwa for a few months, it broke. Then I bought loomis have never looked back, some food for thought

This guy has been very good to me by way of putting a nice yet budget priced rod in the hands of those that need. $25 plus shipping. My boys use them and a bunch of my friends. They've never let us down. Eagle Claw.....
Lets just say I've spent a lot more and got a lot less.

Yeah. Ive found that when you buy an expensive rod. your paying for sensitivity and feel, not as much strength. As far as budget rods go, theres a lot of rods in the 60-80$ range that do nicely. Okuma sst series is a great rod. Im also a big fan of the okuma guide select rods. for the samish this year I bought a reeeel deal if you know what I mean. A quantum affinity 7'9 rod rated for 10 to 25 pound test. It has no real "action" or "sensitivity" to speak of, but man does it have power! since I use a float mostly there I dont really need to feel bites. I got the rod for 30 bucks and didn't break it so it may be around for another year.

okuma are cheap and good rods for the money.

I am a Big fan of the sst line and also the Guide select line. more so the guide select as over the counter warranty! and still less then 100.bucks for the rod

I am also a fan of the Shimanno line cheap heavy duty and again life time warranty! under 100.00 also

then also the Lami line over 100 but life time warranty not as easy as the top 2 but still a warranty...

I seen more loomis and lamis break on the river this year then any other rods. I did break my SST on the river also still not sure how as i was making my first cast... Celio's I believe have a 1 yr warranty not 100% sure on that though but decent rods for the price..

Hey guys just so you don't loose site of the original question. $25 to $40, not $60 to $80.
