get the brilliant flourecent red. thats all i use with my egg cure. add a little purple to it to

thanks guys, i love experimentin wit my cures. i'll go pick up some more dye tomarrow so i can get everything ready for curin season:chef:

Where do you get the anise oil? All I have been able to find is anise extract.

LOL in a grocery store? Hell go to walmart in the fishing section and look for mikes extra strength anise glo scent. Its about 5 bucks or so. Ive been using that in rivers for years, my dad got me hooked on using it growing up. He used to even chew black jack gum while fishing. That way when he spit on his line while tying knots it had that black licorice scent to it. Not a bad Idea now that Im thinking of it. It is gr8 stuff. Just a few drops will go along way in your eggs.

Curado thats a good one my grandpa use to cure his eggs this way and Im pretty sure Ive never seen anyone catch more fish than him. I forgot about this until I read your post so thanks.

i still do it. and it makes the roe sweeter to the fish. cure x mixed with it likker combo. the 18lber i got came off eggs with cherry jello. with anise mixed in
